Abstract
Categorías y autoconciencia en Kant by Pedro Stepanenko examines the different perspectives from which Kant attempted to justify the objectivity of categories. Stepanenko bases his analysis on the study of the genesis of transcendental deduction presented byWolfgang Carl in his bookDer schweigende Kant. Although Stepanenko moves once and again towards an argumentative reconstruction, one may wonder if he can free himself from W. Carl’s interpretative strategy, according to which Kant’s texts have to be seen as basically the expression of the argumentative intentions of his author, falling back, so it seems, into the old project of the “return to the text”.
