Incorporeals, Time and Individuation in Stoicism. On "Times, Objects and Events in Stoic Metaphysics" by Ricardo Salles
Main Article Content
Abstract
This discussion analyses some aspects of Ricardo Salles' paper "Times, Objects and Events in Stoic Metaphysics" (Diánoia 49, pp. 3-22). It focuses on some details concerning the way in which different times might be characterized by objects and events. Part of the criticism is aimed at exploring whether time (an incorporeal for the Stoics) may be characterized by things or events (bodies in the Stoic ontology). Some other issues, such as the claim that an event cannot be "peculiarly qualified", are scrutinized as well.
